More in the Local Paper/Website
The Maplewood-Ramsey County Review webpage got an update this week as well, with two more stories on the mess in city hall:
- Interim manager will stay - reports on the July 24 meeting about the background check
- 'A community pillar' - a retrospective on the long tenure of Patrick Kelly and Kelly & Fawcett as city attorneys.

My favorite line in the first article is Rebecca Cave's observation that, "He's more than I ever expected." If Copeland dramatically exceeds her expectations for city manager . . . well, she's awfully easy to please.
And I'm thinking, heck, if the bar can be set even lower, why don't we see who we can pick up for $25k or $30k per year, compared to what Copeland is being paid?

Anybody notice the letter from Hjelle in the same issue. Pretty funny! We are all un-American to be questioning them.
