    It is interesting to note that a majority of the letters in support of the gang of three come from outside of Maplewood.

    What is especially odd is that this person, who seems to be saying he voted for Longrie/Hjelle/Cave in 2005 and 2006, was himself a candidate for Roseville City Council last year. Or maybe he just put his name on the bottom of a letter someone else wrote, as a favor to a friend?

    Longrie and Hjelle have an opinion piece in the same paper that sounds like someone else wrote it too. They would never make all those personal attacks.

    Interesting.

    So many things to say about this. However, when one gets right down to it, there is so much confusion & contradiction in the piece.

    First off, it appears that we have a case of voter fraud! This writer appears to be a resident of Roseville participating in the elections of our fair city. What is this city coming to?! Call the authorities!!

    As for the 2AM sheningans, as well as the vindictive terminations, this unfortunate soul would likely be the first one screaming if he was not given due process when it came to eliminating his job. And this is what our issue is with the band of three. Process.

    Just like the city manager not working for the writer (a Roseville resident, no less) makes him unable to care less, the writer not being a taxpayer in the City of Maplewood makes me unable to care less about his opinion.

    The Hjelle/Longrie piece is now linked on Maplewood voices. Their ability to push blame onto others is astounding! These two seriously need help.

    Nice try.

    You claim to be from the "new" council. You fail to satisfy one of your supporting arguements. One of the reasons you use to support your membership in the new council club is your advocacy of grassroots citizen involvement. I have one question for you and erik the great...Where was the the grassroots involvement at 2AM? Did I miss something. Or does one member in the audience at 2AM satisfy your definition of grassroots citizen involvement?

    We've been told time and again about the condition of Copeland's wife. Now I'm not questioning her condition but I can't help but wonder how did he have the time to leave her side to run for office but not to hold a job? How did he get the money to run for office but not to pay his bills? There are so many unanswered questions. Unfortunately, we are just supposed to take their word for it that he is a good guy and qualified for the job.
